Training Facility Work Continues
Starting in late January, the department started work on a live burn training facility located adjacent to Station 1. The facility consists of several modular 'inter modal' stackable containers. A burn room, maze room and search and rescue room is part of the facility. The building also has a 40 foot 'tower' for high angle rescue and fire suppression training. This facility is being built with donations, both materials and monetary by donors from the community. Once completed, this facility will be a top notch training ground for firefighters, not only within the department, but for departments county-wide (and possibly across Middle Tennessee). Check the 'Training' page for pictures of the construction.
