New chief installed

The KVFD Board Of Directors has appointed Bobby Brewer as the new Chief of the department.  Brewer brings many years of experience with the department, including working as a driver for the Murfreesboro Fire Department.  His training and qualifications are extensive, ranging from management to tactical operations.  Brewer also has been instrumental in the construction and design of the department's new training facility at Station 1. Outgoing Chief George Curray is retiring in this capacity, having served as the Chief since the department's inception in 1990.  He will continue on with the department as a firefighter.  The department's members and the community sincerely appreciate George's service over the years.  He has been a true leader and has kept the department moving in a forward direction.  With the appointment of Bobby Brewer as the new Chief, KVFD will continue to move forward in improving and expanding it's services to the Kittrell community.
